Experience the glorious Taj Mahal at sunrise and sunset. Venture through the countryside at Jaipur during an elephant ride conducted by an expert mahout (trainer), ride like a local on rickshaw through Old Delhi and experience India by water in three destinations: Mumbai Harbour to Elephant Island, Udaipur’s Lake Pichola and along the holy Ganges River
Day 01: Arrive Mumbai, India
Arrive at Mumbai and transfer to hotel.Overnight stay at India.
Day 02: Mumbai
Explore the city’s classic sights, including the Gateway of India, Prince of Wales Musuem and Mani Bhawan followed with visit to Dhobi Ghat
Day 03: Mumbai/Udaipur
Morning tour of privately cruise Mumbai Harbour to Elephanta Island, UNESCO World Heritage Site. Later fly to Udaipur in the afternoon and transport to Hotel. Overnight stay at Udaipur
Day 04-05: Udaipur
Visit the City Palace, private tour of the Crystal Gallery in Fateh Prakash Palace and stroll through Sahelion Ki Bari (Garden of the Maids of Honor). The next morning, excursion to Delwara and visit Eklinji and Nagda.
Day 06-07: Jaipur
Explore the Mughal-style Amber Fort and enjoy a pleasant elephant ride through the countryside with the help of mahout. Visit Jantar Mantar and nearby Palace of the winds.
Day 08-09: Agra
Today, catch your first glimpse of the breathtaking Taj Mahal from your hotel terrace. Visit Taj Mahal in the late afternoon. Visit the Agra Fort before driving to Fatehpur Sikri.
Day 10: Jhansi/Panna National Park
Depart by express train to Jhansi. After lunch, continue to remote Panna National Park.
Day 11: Khajuraho/Panna
Drive to Khajuraho to see all of life – joy, love, divinity, war – depicted in detail on every inch of its 85 Hindu and Jain Temples. After lunch, return to Panna in a four wheel drive spotting crocodiles or the elusive Bengal Tiger if you are lucky enough.
Day 12: Varanasi
Morning flight to Varanasi. Witness the Aarti Ceremony beside the Ganges river at dusk. Watch lantern – bearing priests bid the gods and goddesses a restful slumber.
Day 13: Varanasi/Delhi
Early morning private sunrise cruise on the Ganges River to observe activity along the ghats. Visit the 18th century Durga Temple, Bharat Mata Temple. Later fly to Delhi.
Day 14-15: Delhi
Exploring the Old and the New Delhi. Visit the great Jama Masjid. Set off on an rickshaw ride through the carts and stalls of Chandni Chowk Bazaar. Tour of New Delhi, including Humayun’s Tomb. Depart Delhi the next day.
